Tragedy struck in Indonesia today. A tragedy that I’m struggling to come to terms with, and a tragedy that I’m going to write a few words about in a hilarious manner, ultimately showing incredible disrespect to life, and how brittle it really is.

This morning, as a Lion Air plane was coming into land at Jalaluddin Airport in Sulawesi (Indonesia), something went wrong. The 110 passengers on board were shocked to discover that their plane was quickly careering into a field, after seemingly coming to contact with something. None of the passengers were hurt, but the pilot claimed that he could smell burning meat? What the blazes has happened here. Well, I’m growing tired of the suspense, so here’s what happened. The plane ran over a cow. It turned out there were three cows on the runway, but only one was to meat it’s demise. Yes, that spelling mistake was intended. The airport was closed, but has since re-opened.

This is no way to die, and I dread to think of how the other two cows must be feeling. You never want to see your friend crushed to death under the wheels of a Lion Air plane. Ever.
